Next major stop

G2E returns to Las Vegas.

Education begins on 28 September, the expo floor opens on 29 September and the event closes on 1 October at The Venetian Expo. Organisers advertise more than 25,000 professionals, 400 exhibitors and 100 education sessions.

Our pre-show focus: connected floor architecture, AI governance, cyber recovery, cabinet platforms, responsible-gambling systems and hospitality operations.

12 March report

Barcelona sets a verified attendance record.

World Gaming Week’s organiser reported 62,988 industry professionals from 162 nations across the 2026 edition, up 5 percent from 2025. The independently audited total comprised 51,996 ICE visitors and 10,992 iGB Affiliate attendees. Visitor days reached 120,439.

Attendance is not a measure of product quality or commercial success, but it is a useful signal of the industry’s geographic breadth. The next analytical task is to separate the themes that carried into procurement and regulation from the themes that peaked on the show floor.

What persisted after Barcelona

  • Compliance technology moving closer to core product design.
  • Payment and identity systems being discussed as one operating layer.
  • AI claims becoming more specific around workflow, risk and data governance.
  • Continued cabinet refresh alongside content-platform consolidation.
  • Greater focus on cyber resilience across both casino and hospitality systems.

28 September–1 October

G2E 2026 watchlist.

The official programme spans regulated casino gaming, iGaming, sports betting, payments, AI, hospitality and business technology. These are the questions we will take to the floor.

01

Cabinet platforms

Which new hardware is shipping, which content is certified and what improves maintenance or floor planning?

02

AI governance

What problem is solved, what data is used, how is performance validated and where does a human remain accountable?

03

Cyber recovery

How do vendors support segmentation, credential recovery, offline operation, audit evidence and coordinated response?

04

Player protection

Can limit, exclusion and intervention systems demonstrate outcomes across channels rather than show dashboard screenshots?

05

Table evolution

Where do physical tables, ETGs, live feeds, sensors and data tools create better workflow rather than added complexity?

06

Hospitality stack

How are resort operators connecting hotel, F&B, entertainment, loyalty and workforce systems without creating one failure domain?

Coverage method

From announcement to evidence.

Before the event

We build a question list from regulatory calendars, public filings, confirmed launches and prior claims. Preview coverage identifies what would constitute a material update.

On the floor

We distinguish a concept, prototype, approved product and commercial deployment. Photogenic features do not replace questions about jurisdiction, service, security and availability.

After the event

We revisit the themes after 30, 90 and 180 days. The objective is to discover which launches reached live floors and which ideas changed policy, purchasing or operations.
